We offer a range of music tuition services to individuals and to local schools. Private music lessons can be conducted on school premises, or from our studio at the rear of 95 Rankin Street, Bathurst. We specialise in tuition for vocal, brass instruments and piano.   We also offer tuition for woodwinds, percussion and guitar.   We do not provide tuition for concert strings.  We conduct musicianship (theory) lessons periodically as required. Private tuition pricing starts at $27.50 per half hour lesson, payable by the term.  Schools are welcome to enquire about our in-school band tuition program. Private Tuition Terms, Conditions and Fees     - Payment Terms - Invoices are issued per term and full payment is required within 30 days of invoice date.    Failure to settle accounts within 30 days could result in cancelled lessons.   - Payment Method - Payments can be made by cheque, cash, credit card or direct deposit. Cheques need to be made out to “Harmonikos”. Dishonoured cheques incur a $20 fee. Direct deposits can be made to our ANZ bank account as printed on the invoice.   - Refund Policy - It is our policy not to refund on missed lessons, unless due to teacher absence (see below).   This is because we have set a specific timeslot aside for your lesson, making it unavailable to other potential new students.   - Teacher Absence - Every effort is made to avoid lesson cancellations by the teacher. However, if this is unavoidable a make-up lesson will be arranged. Alternatively, the cost of the lesson can be credited against the next term’s account.   - Make Up Lessons - Generally make-up lessons are offered only to replace lessons cancelled by the teacher, not the student. However, special requests can be considered on an individual basis and only in the event of extenuating circumstances.   - Punctuality - In order to be fair to all students it is important that lessons commence and conclude on time. If a student is running late the lesson will still conclude at the normal time. If you arrive early, please do not enter the studio until your lesson is due to commence.   - Practice - Students are advised that musical proficiency takes a lot of practice. It is expected that students will practice their instrument on a daily basis. Please talk to the teacher if you require more information about the length and content of home practices.   - Fees and Charges - Our basic fee is $27.50 per half hour lesson, $55 per hour.   - Examination Accompaniment - There is no charge for AMEB examination accompaniment for existing students. However, depending upon the examination schedule, this may replace one lesson, which will not be refunded.   - Eisteddfods - Should a student require piano accompaniment for an Eisteddfod performance they will be charged $20 for the first performance, then $10 for every performance thereafter. Accounts will be credited for lessons cancelled during Eisteddfods.   - Other Accompaniments - Should a student require piano accompaniment for any other performance (ie Scholarships), a fee of $20 per performance will apply.
