What Are Instrument Preparation Classes?
Instrument Preparation Classes for young children have been designed to prepare children, aged 5 to 7, in important musical understanding so they are truly ready to commence learning an instrument, whether it be piano, trumpet, flute, drums or anything else!
These classes will be fun and educational. Classes will deliberately be small in number (maximum of 4 children per class) so that each child has the opportunity to experience the fullness of each lesson.
Classes will be grouped into six month semesters (18 lessons) and each lesson will be 60 minutes long. Children will need to enrol for the whole six months to receive the full benefit of the program. Parents will receive monthly information sheets about what we have been doing in class. There will be no parent involvement in the actual classes.
Throughout the program children will explore different instruments, develop their singing, listening and rhythm skills, learn how to read basic music and learn many common musical terms.
What is the Cost?
The total cost for the full 6 month program is $270. There are two payment options: Full payment in week 1, or pay in 2 instalments of $135 each, the second instalment due by week 10. Credit card facilities are available. There are no refunds for missed lessons.
When are the Classes Held?
Due to other committments it has been necessary not to offer these classes for the second half of 2008. New Instrument Prep classes will commence in February 2009. Email to register your interest.
