Harmonikos provides quality music camps during the July school holidays. Blast - A fun band camp for children in years 2 to 6, who play concert band instruments. Blast Off - A musical school holiday programme for children in Kindergarten to year 2, who would like to explore a variety of instruments and fun musical concepts. See below for more details. We are also in the early stages of preparing for Big Blast - a 3 day band camp for high schoolers.  This will likely be held in the 2009 October school holidays.

What is Blast? Blast is a day time band camp designed to inspire and encourage young musicians.  It is for children who already have a basic skill in reeds, brass, woodwind or percussion instruments and who are in years 3 to 6 at primary school.  Each day will consist of band work (ie concert band, jazz band, wind ensemble), section work (ie reeds, brass, woodwind or percussion), vocal work, and plenty of fun and games.  Blast concludes with a free family concert as an opportunity to showcase what has been learnt during the week. When - 7th to 11th July 2008 Time - 9 am to 4:00pm daily Where - Bathurst Baptist Church, 188 Eglinton Road Cost - $230 per child.  All lunches and snacks provided. What is Blast Off? Blast off is designed to be a preparatory programme for young children (in Kindergarten to Year 2) who are thinking of starting to learn an instrument, or who are in the very early stages of instrument instruction. Children will learn about many musical concepts (such as rhythm and reading music) in a fun and age appropriate way.  Each day we will feature a different family of instruments and children will be given the unique opportunity to explore brass, woodwind, percussion and stringed instruments. When - 7th to 11th July 2008 Time - 9 am to 11:30 am daily Where - Bathurst Baptist Church, 188 Eglinton Road Cost - $100 per child.  Morning Tea provided.
